Ben Franklin
Rebel, Patriot, Inventor

Americans need to discover and understand the challenges of creating one of the world's first republics. Learning about our founding fathers is a good place to start.

Though many were well educated aristocratic professionals, Franklin was one of seventeen children who was only afforded two years of formal childhood schooling. Even so, this remarkable individual is a genius of writing, inventions, improvements to society and strategies for drafting a new and independent nation.

  “Freedom of speech is a
principal pillar of a free government;
when this support is taken away, the constitution of afree society is dissolved,and tyranny is erected on its ruins."
